RE: [Raw Food] Hello all
A good idea to read to get your diet balanced and make the transition.
It is a
big shift mentally and physically to go raw. For example, instead of
a vast surplus of protein, your body will learn to extract protein from
dark green leaves.
Instead of taking carbohydrate from animal fats and wheat, it has to
take enough from
fruit and vegetable fats.
A good start is David Wolfe's Sunfood Success System. I skipped through
his philosophy but
I am sure others love it. Frederic Parernaude's Raw Secrets is
excellent too. There are masses
of books to read. Also not a bad idea to start off with some kind of
fast to clean the old

Subject: [Raw Food] Hello all
I stumbled across this info after reading an article on why Demi
Moore 'looks so good at 40'- she is promoting the raw food diet.
Anyway, I was curious about it, did some research, and found that
the overall lifestyle appeals to me. That's how I ended up here. I
would like to learn more about changing my lifestyle and was curious
as to how you all went about making changes...I do have to say that
I love red meat, and that is one habit which I would like to break.
I know it's not the healthiest thing in the world...I am 22 yrs old,
living in NJ, and would simply like to feel much healthier than I do
now. (Perhaps it's the cloud of smog hanging over NJ that is
weighing me down, but I have a feeling it could be my diet as
well). Well, thanks for listening and I look forward to talking
with you all! Feel free to email cheetarra@...
