Just an update . I never did hear usefully back from MS. Anyway, I eventually was able to get their DLM to work, I just had to limit my downloads to a couple

Hello, whoever you are. (It would be nice if you would sign your posts. :)

Thank you for your extensive response.

First, and as you plainly point out in your opening paragraph, some raw foodists do like to sprout grains. I don't. You don't. But
some do. For them, this topic, in its narrowest sense, is likely of interest. I would choose to include these people in our
conversations, and I imagine they would like to know about something like this.

Second and by way of contrast, I see that earlier today, you shared a couple of posts about fermenting vegetables. Again, some raw
foodists eat these, and many more do not. Shall we cut off conversation about this subject matter, even though it is of interest to
you and to some others, simply because it is not of interest to everyone?

Hopefully we will do the opposite, namely, encourage such conversation.

Third, and far more importantly, my original post, restored below, points toward the heart of the entire food/nutrition
infrastructure, and I therefore find it of great interest and suspect that some others may, as well.

The integration of material taken from the HUMAN genome into the HUMAN food supply indicates a significant step in a very
destructive direction. You see, it's one thing to manipulate genomes, in general, that's bad enough. It's quite another thing to
take elements from a given species' genome, integrate those elements into that species' own food supply, then feed that food supply
back to that species. Wherever this has been done-as with cattle-rather horrible results have ensued.

Like it or not, we all live in a world in which everything and everyone is interconnected. What these people do affects us all, no
matter how comforting it may feel to curl up behind a bowl of whatever one's favorite food(s) may be. So from my perspective, this
is necessary information for all of us, or at least for those among us who feel interested enough to absorb it and to follow it
      further.

      Make sense?

It is really nice to worry about what other people are doing, but, as raw foodists, about the only rice we might find a use for is
wild rice which can be "sprouted" (soaked and used - sort of raw.. some raw food chefs call for it, but it is not a common inclusion
      in a raw food diet)

Human Genes Engineered Into Experimental GMO Rice Grown in Kansas

Unless the rice you buy is certified organic, or comes specifically from a farm that tests its rice crops for genetically modified
(GM) traits, you could be eating rice tainted with actual human genes. The only known GMO with inbred human traits in cultivation
today, a GM rice product made by biotechnology company Ventria Bioscience is currently being grown on 3,200 acres in Junction City,
Kansas - and possibly elsewhere - and most people have no idea about it.

Since about 2006, Ventria has been quietly cultivating rice that has been genetically modified (GM) with genes from the human liver
for the purpose of taking the artificial proteins produced by this "Frankenrice" and using them in pharmaceuticals. With approval
from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Ventria has taken one of the most widely cultivated grain crops in the world today,
and essentially turned it into a catalyst for producing new drugs.

ALSO; I highly recommend this powerful, factual, online video by David Suzuki and others called 'SILENT FOREST'. Please pass it on
      to others. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w437uQf_A7c

      thanks, terry
