      Bus accident

      KENS 5 Eyewitness News

Seven children and an adult were taken to the hospital after an early morning accident involving a Southside Independent School District bus.

Police say a truck stopped when the bus pulled over to pick up a student in the 21,000 block of Pleansanton Road. The first truck was hit from behind by the second truck.

The chain reaction accident ended with the truck running into the bus.

Officials said the bus was near capacity when the accident occurred. Seven students from the bus and a truck driver were taken to area hospitals for minor injuries.

Five students have already been released and two others are still under observation.

School bus loaded with kids overturns
        Several students hospitalized

(9/13/05 - HOUSTON) - Several kids were taken to area hospitals after a frightening wreck involving a school bus Tuesday afternoon.

The bus flipped on its side at the intersection of Little York at Brittmore in northwest Harris County. Apparently, slick roads were a factor in the single-vehicle wreck.
There were 53 students from Truitt Middle School on board at the time. Twenty-two kids were taken to the hospital. We're told the injuries were minor and the students were even walking around before being taken by ambulance to area hospitals.

A Cy-Fair official tells us that the bus driver will be cited for failure to control speed.
