4975SYSDATE returns in two different format in two different database even NLS_ parameters are same...
- Jul 23, 2013Hello Experts,We are facing one strange issue with database migration (same release, same patch level). In Server # A (old server), database returns SYSDATE in "MM/DD/YYYY HH:MI:SSXF" format whereas in Server # B (new server), database returns SYSDATE in "YYYY-MM-DD" format (before change)/ "DD-MON-RR" (after change). In initial analysis, it has been identified that INIT.ORA file parameters were different of Server # A and Server # B . So, database parameters (NLS_*) has been corrected and database were bounced back. After change, Server # B database started returning SYSDATE in "DD-MON-RR" format. Still, issue here is that it's not returning the SYSDATE is desired format i.e. Sever # A format....Question here is how to setup the value for SYSDATE to return the value in same format as Server # A. Can anyone point to some documentation or support case?Your quick response will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your reply!ManojPS - All NLS_ parameters are same in Sever # A and Server # B.
