What is a productivity day? / What are Action-Now calls

A productivity day is a day where you will be especially productive because you share your goals with other people on an hourly basis on the phone. As soon as you're off the phone, you'll get busy doing what you said you would. It's fun and productive. Find out for yourself.

How does this work?

We'll meet every hour on a conference line (US number - I might be able to arrange Skype as well). At your first check-in, you state your goal(s)for the next hour. You'll have 30 seconds for this. Afterwards at the top of every hour you'll report what you got done and what you intend to do in the next hour.

The idea is to check in every hour but it's OK if you miss a check-in because of an appointment, meeting, lunch break etc. You can indicate that when you sign up (Doodle link).

What kind of goals are we taking about?

That's up to you. It can be anything from writing an article to doing housework. You can phone in from your office, from home or from running errands.

How often do productivity days/Action-Now calls happen?

The system in place let's you tick any hour you want to participate in calls. In theory, you can sign up 24/7. This means that people from all over the world can take part.

What is the time frame of a productivity day?

I live in Switzerland so people in the US will probably join in a bit later than people in Europe. You are welcome to participate from any country in the world. When you sign up you can actually indicate the hours you want to do calls and when two or more people have indicated the same hours, you'll call the conference line. You can sign up for just 2 calls or several calls on a particular day. All times indicated are Eastern time (New York time).

How do I sign up for a productivity day?

The sign-up link and the instructions are given in the e-mail messages.
