- No...O'Brian's comments never made any sense to me. I have always felt
that it was more of a star not liking when anything took the focus off him
even for a second.
The only good argument I can see about it is how it makes it more difficult
to write for because the scanner's abilities remove many of the typical
situations that happen to the hero, like being jumped from behind. Just
like the first thing you have to do is take away their communicators...or
have the ship be paralyzed.
