Yeah. I'm getting this announcement from the mods and admins on all of the other Yahoo! Groups I belong to. Several of them are talking about migrating their content to something called "https://groups.io". Would it be feasible to migrate our groups over to that? (We've got a lot of things - files, images, etc. - on here. It could take until December to download it all into our individual computers.

          Dino.

I don't do Facebook, at least not directly. My wife does, and she likes and follows several pages for me. So with our Group about to fade into oblivion, could someone please post the link to our Probe Control Facebook page? I want to make sure I'm asking my wife to follow the right one.

            Dino.

And just as an FYI, the Yahoo astronomy group I belong to has successfully migrated their stuff to Groups.io. Messages are coming through (everyone is replying to the "Test" message), and apparently all if the discussion messages and photos - and they have a lot of them - all survived the migration. There was no mention of any fees, so I'm guessing they went for the Free Plan.

                Dino.

So OF COURSE Yahoo! is going to stop allowing use of Yahoo! Groups in exactly one week, and OF COURSE Yahoo! is going to delete/wipe ALL content in ALL Yahoo! Groups in 3 months. And OF COURSE the front page says NOTHING about it. https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN31010.html
