      You all will probably be interested in new closed equations for prime
      numbers and for the next prime larger than a given one. These formulas are
      not efficient or practical, but they are certainly interesting. The nth
      prime can be computed in O(n log n)^3, with three simple nested summations.

      See problem 38 at, and excuse the errors in the English since the author
      isn't a native speaker of English.
