      Hi,

      I just joined this group.

      Veiwpoint:

Prime numbers are just their own set of numbers. P(subscript)(n+1) =
      Pn + 1. It's just a notational issue.
Integers are an extension of primes in the same way that
rationals are an extension of integers.

      Normal representation
      Integers
      1 2 3 4 5 6 7
      Primes
      2 3 5 7 ....

      Alternate representational system
      Primes
      1 2 3 4 5 6 7
      Integers
      1 2 3 3.5 4 5 5.5 6 7 ...

What does 2 * 2 mean in an abstract sense ?

      *******

      In the abstract sense, 2 * 2 means 2 + 2 because

to multiply a number by 2 means to add that number to itself.

It would be very difficult to describe algorithms for multiplication and
      addition using the suggested alternative
      notation.

      Would you have 3.5 + 5.5 = 7.5?
