      You could shave your software costs by using open source software for your
      OS or at least for some applications. Instead of MS Windows you might be
      fine with Ubuntu, or for an easier start in the world of open source, you
      could avoid buying MS Office and instead use LibreOffice
      (www.libreoffice.org), which is what my office is, in fact, doing.
