Widget developed by "Slate Magazine" for detecting if your name & password were hacked on Gawker
- By now most of you have already heard about Gawker being hacked.
I'm one of millions who had both name and password stolen and aired on the Internet. If any of you receives an email from me selling Acai, porn sites, Viagra, etc., please forward said email to me so I can trace who sent it.
A friend of mine says I'm over-reacting. Not at all. I've used the Gawker password many other times, but who knows where. I'm in the process of changing all of my passwords. Having to do this during the holiday season is not my idea of fun. Maybe I should change my name too. How's Squawker sound?
In case any of you, or someone you know, had their name and password compromised by Gawker being hacked, here is a widget developed by
"Slate Magazine" -- really simple to use, just key in the email address you used to sign up on Gawker. In less than a second verification is complete.
Then you too can join me in wasting your prescious time tracing your cyber footsteps and changing passwords.
