PUBLIC RELATIONS PROFESSIONALS STILL DEPENDING ON

CLIP BOOKS AND INTUITION TO MEASURE RESULTS

While 86% of the public relations professionals polled in a recent
industry-wide survey say they are held more accountable for media relations
results than ever, they seem to be doing little beyond traditional clip
books and intuition/gut feel to provide results to management. Moreover,
the cost and time-consuming nature of measurement, as well as the lack of
clear mandates from management as to the types of results they want to see,
makes progress on this front slow.
