      "La Maison Feuillette" is the oldest known straw bale house in Europe.

      It's 92 years old this year... :-)

      The RFCP (the French straw bale building network) has a project to buy and preserve this building. (see second link), if the funding can be arranged.

      M. Feuillette, the engineer who built this structure in 1921, also used Warren trusses as wall studs, the style known as Larsen trusses today.
