Group Description

"Cattle die, and kinsmen die, And so one dies oneself;but a noble name will never die,If good renown one gets"

Welcome to the Circle of Power and Compassion. We are a network of pagans, witches, druids, heathens, and other polytheists and members of magical orders. We believe that service to our Gods and Goddesses is about more than ritual, magick, and offerings. It means park beautification if you revere an earth goddess, visiting the elderly in you revere a healer, or making sure there is separation of church and state if you revere our warrior gods and want to make sure our pagan military have all they need. We seek partnerships with non-profits and organizations that need occasional volunteers for park clean-up days, or coat drives, or food drives. We aim to accomplish 3-4 one-day or half day service projects a year, engage in activism, and to share information and resources between pagan leaders, groves, kindreds, covens and temples that are engaged in service work. Whenever possible, we aim to support the work of other non-profits that are run and founded by pagans, so as to increase the philanthropic capacity of our own community. Most of all, we aim to have fun connecting together. So if you have info or resources to share, and want to be part of this group and receive our notices of activities, please join us! This group was founded on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, 2010. Members who engage in projects via this site should engage in common sense and take all precautions that are recommended by the agencies we work with! Thank you!
