      Hello, hopefully somebody can give me a clue on how to do this.

      Right now I have emails coming from alert@... to
      distribution@....

      I want to set up something in Postfix so that if the email is going to
      distribution@..., the From: address is automatically re-written
      to support@....

      That way the people on distribution@... will see the email
      coming from support@... instead of alert@....

      Any clue on this or where to start would be helpful! Thanks!!!!

        use sender rewrite options with canonical maps
        /etc/postfix/main.cf:
            sender_canonical_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/sender_canonical

        Thank you. That worked. Would it be easy to also change the display name? If the sender were to use Alert Company the end-user now

          If the sender were to use "Alert Company" <alert@...> the
          end-user now sees it as "Alert Company" <support@...>.

          Thanks for your help.
