Happy New Year! In keeping with the year-end tradition of noting
the passings of significant individuals, I once again submit the
political deaths for this passing year. There were 43 political
deaths in 2007, one more than in 2006, and five more than in 2005
when I first did this. As always, I've attempted to be as thorough
as possible, however I may have missed someone, so please let me
know. I've limited it to Governors, US Senators, US Reps, US
Cabinet members, and other nationally known political figures.
