      AMIT DAHIYABADSHAH in Doylestown

A Poetry Reading with Amit Dahiyabadshah

      July 5, Tuesday, 7 to 9 p.m
The Writers Room of Bucks County
      4 West Oakland Avenue
      Doylestown, PA 18901

      Free

The Writers Room welcomes Indian poet Amit whose book The Poetry of
Paradox: Nature, Love, Terror was published in India. He was the first poet to
be selected from the district of Haryana in northern India to recite his poetry at
the prestigious Sahitya Akademi in New Delhi in June of 2003. There is an
integrity and a celebration on innocence in the simple rhyming cadence of his
work. But the emotional intelligence in the poetry is anything but simple. He
explores complex human emotions with a sharp but gently exploring eye. His
village Kakroi in Sonipat, nature, love, and brave new women! all find a
place in Amit Dahiya's verbal tapestry of word, rhyme and metaphor. Amit
visits Philadelphia from his native Haryana, where he farms and works as a
development consultant and communication planner between harvests. This
is a free event and open to all. No registration is required.
