Damian McNicholl was born and educated in Northern Ireland and attended
law school at University College, Cardiff in Wales. Set in 1960s and 70s
Northern Ireland against a backdrop of the bloody struggle for civil rights by
the Catholic minority, A SON CALLED GABRIEL is his first novel and is a story
about the increasingly corrosive secret one boy holds from his family and the
dark secret they hold from him.

Scott Edward Anderson was a Concordia Fellow and poet-in-residence at the
Millay Colony for the Arts in November 2002. He is one of the founding editors
of Ducky Magazine (www.duckymag.com), writes as "The Green Skpetic":
www.greenskeptic.blogspot.com, and works for The Nature Conservancy.

Penny Dickerson is currently an M.F.A. candidate in the Lesley University
Creative Writing Program (Low Residency) in Cambridge, Mass. Penny will
serve as Poet-in-Residence at Andrew Jackson Elementary School, (K-8), this
fall as a final graduation interdisciplinary project.
