      Jim Quinn, the recipient of a 2003 Pennsylvania Council on the Arts
      Fellowship in literature, a finalist for the Pew Fellowship in poetry,
      and the winner of Frances Israel Manuscript Prize from Temple University,
      is the author of four previous books on language, politics and food. His
      stories, poems and plays have appeared in Western Humanities Review,
      Other Voices, Mudfish, Kayak, Poems & Plays, Beloit Poetry Journal, Poet
      Lore, Unmuzzled Ox, Left Curve, American Poetry Review: Philly Edition,
      and elsewhere. His plays have been presented at the juried Philadelphia
      Fringe Festival, 1999-2003, among other venues. Twice a finalist for the
      Columbia School of Journalism prize, included in Best American Food
      Writing 2000, and the recipient of a Gold Medal for Excellence from the
      City and Regional Magazine Association, his journalism has been published
      in the New York Times Magazine, New York Post, New York Daily News,
      Washington Post, Washington Post Magazine, the Washingtonian, Rolling
      Stone, Esquire, Food and Wine, Harpers, The Nation, Town and Country, The
      Washingtonian, Good Food, Newsweek, Village Voice, In These Times,
      Philadelphia Magazine, Today, Philadelphia Inquirer Magazine,
      Philadelphia Weekly, Philadelphia City Paper and many others. He holds an
      MA in creative writing from Temple University and will teach fiction
      writing in Temple University's MA program next semester.
