      1- Clearing the Spring, Tending the Fountain

      If you are a New Jersey Teacher at any level, pre-K through
      College, you can participate in six weekly poetry discussions
      brought to you by The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation. Choose
      from among 18 locations throughout New Jersey (Saturday
      morning or weekday evening) and meet with 11 other teachers
      to read, discuss and perhaps write poetry in a group led by a
      Dodge Poet. The six weekly sessions begin in early March and
      conclude in April. Participants are also invited to attend a final
      event held in Princeton on Saturday, May 11 featuring a poet of
      national distinction. Previous featured poets have included:
      Galway Kinnell, Mark Doty, Marie Howe, Yusef Komunyakaa,
      Molly Peacock, Edward Hirsch, Cornelius Eady and Thomas Lux.
      You will also have an opportunity to earn Professional
      Development Credits.

      2- NJEA Good Ideas Conference - Saturday, March 8 at Ewing
      High School

      Featuring "The Stubborn Muse Using Poetry Writing to Teach
      Revision" led by Peter Murphy.

      Non-NJEA members and non-teachers may register for this
      workshop on a space available basis. $20 registration fee
      includes the workshop, continental breakfast & lunch. You can
      also sign up for an additional 1/2 day workshop for the morning
      or afternoon.

      This workshop is also being offered at Washington Township in
      Sewell on Saturday, February 8 which had a January 17
      registration deadline. However, you might still be able to
      participate if there is room available.
