Your poem brought tears to my eyes; I'm thankful that Greg lives near to this Rehab and miss my daughter and family.
I'm praying for you and your family.  Love, Jan

      Home

We fall in love and get married
And then the children come along
      We learn and grow together
      And share each other's woes.
      And then comes graduation day
      Or marriage, or employment
And the kids all move away
      Leaving us here so alone.
They come to visit now and then
But it's never quite the same
This place just seems so empty…
This place that we call home.

A church is like a family
Brothers and sisters of one accord
      We learn and grow together
      And share each other's woes.
And then some start to stray
      Just leave or disappear
      Or join a different church
      Leaving us here so alone.
They may come to visit now and then
But it's never quite the same
And the pews just seem so empty…
In this church that we call home.

Dear Lord I miss my family…
      My children have moved away,
And the family I found at church
      Have all begun to roam.
      Our membership is dwindling
Though the sermons are all well said
I don't know how to bring them back
I'm feeling so sad and alone.
Please keep your angels by their side
And protect them day by day
And let them know they're still welcome here
At this place they once called home
