      Hey Everyone,

This is Millian from AllTalkRadio.net. This is my first post, as I
have just learned about the group and joined. I am writing because I
am seeking out podcasters who may be interested in providing some
filler content for our online talk radio network called AllTalkRadio.

I am working to build a channel dedicated exclusively to showcasing
podcasters, and I will need 20-30 individuals who would like to
participate. We ask a few simple guidelines should you wish to
participate. Any shows gets one slot once per week. Each show must
consist of four 10-minute segments, must not have any royalty or
copyright music in it, and must provide fresh content every week. You
upload it to our server, and we handle the rest.

To answer some common questions that I hear. Everyone's first
question...there is NO cost to participate. We dont ask for any of
your intellectual rights. Your show is your show. In between your
segments, we air our in-house commercials, which we hope can cover
some of our expenses. Should you need some of the commercial times
for advertisers of your own, we can discuss an arrangement.

Since this is a new concept, and we are building this new channel
from the ground up we are not able to offer any compensation. These
programs are fillers, and will help get some new exposure for your
show. Again, there are commercials times you can retain to make your
own money. Additionally, as with anything thats new and growing, we
cant guarantee any results. However, you are free to promote your
show in any way that you feel fit. We handle the tech side, you
      handle the promotions and marketing.

As I said, I need about 20-30 new shows of all different topics. We
have about 7-10 in process now. For the time being, I need to avoid
adult content. If you would like to participate or know more please
send an email to staff@... with a link to your current
content so that we can hear a sample. I am interested in unique
topics with high quality audio and good production. If you think you
can do it, please feel free to contact.

Sorry for the long post, and I appreciate everyone checking it out. I
would ask to please not receive any flame emails and messages
accusing me of "spamming." If I were talking about mortgages or
viagra, then I would understand. But I am trying to provide something
unique for the podcast community. AllTalkRadio is an established
online internet radio presence, and spamming isn't necessary for us.

I would like to thank everyone again, and email
staff@... for anyone who may be interested.

      Thanks
      Millian

No, but having our show hosts invited to things like White House
events, and having big media companies trying to buy out every month
does. But hey, thanks for asking.

I had a suspicion that people were going to snotty about this. I am
trying to use my resources to build more exposure for podcasting and
online radio, but if youre happy with your 8 rss subscribers, then I am
happy too. My apologies for bothering you

I figured this was probably another
"give-us-free-content-in-exchange-for-nothing" solicitation when I read your
original post. I decided to give alltalkradio.net the benefit of the
doubt. I loaded the site, and clicked the "What's On Air Now" tab. I was
taken to a page that provided a vague description of "general programming."
I began clicking the various links for the different media players listed on
the site. None of the links worked. I backed up to the home page, and
after trying several of the streaming links there, I was finally able to get
the RealAudio stream to work. It sounded like a jazz music show was
playing. And the show sounded good. But I still can't find any information
as to who produced the show. In the above message, you mentioned "big media
companies trying to buy out every month," but your "Corporate Partners" page
is blank. I did hear an ad for a weight-loss pill on your stream, though.
Anyway, the bottom line is, if you want to solicit a group like this one in
the hopes of getting free content for your site, tell us exactly what the
benefits are going to be for us. Specifically, will we be able to mention
our own websites on the alltalkradio.net stream, and will you be providing
links from your site back to ours? "I am trying to use my resources to
build more exposure for podcasting and online radio" isn't enough of an
explanation. And this is why you received those sarcasm-filled replies from
Michael Dean. We get messages like this pretty regularly on this group.
And usually, the people posting them have nothing to offer but a lot of
marketing speak. Give us something concrete to work with. And lay off the
"8 rss subscribers" attitude if you want anyone to take you seriously.
