Dear Colleagues: We are one of the first federal criminal justice
agencies to offer audio and video podcasts (http://media.csosa.gov).
The message below was sent to media and interested professionals. I
would appreciate your opinions and suggestions.

      Best, Len Sipes.

"A national model of public communications" Jane Browning, Executive
      Director, International Community Corrections Association.

Dear Colleagues: There is a new audio podcast available on "DC Public
Safety," http://media.csosa.gov ; a discussion of offender reentry
with principals from the Previously Incarcerated Persons
organization. The program features the Rev. Dr. Yvonne Cooper and
Darnell Bradford El. Both are faith-based mentors.

Next up—Three Spanish language podcasts on requirements and program
services for offenders and families. See attachment for an article on
      available programs.

After that—A discussion of the sex offender registry.

"DC Public Safety" has recorded 60,000 hits since November. See
      http://www.usdoj.gov/fbci/progmenu_whatsnew.html
for an example of how the show is being used by the Department of
      Justice. See http://www.justicetalking.org/resources.asp
for the resource page of "Justice Talking" from National Public
Radio. We are also on the podcast page for USA.GOV
      http://www.usa.gov/Topics/Reference_Shelf/Libraries/Podcasts/PublicSaf
      ety.shtml.

We are currently number one (or ranked very high) in major search
engines or podcast directories for selected criminal justice topics.

As always, we appreciate your interest in the Court Services and
      Offender Supervision Agency.

      Best, Len Sipes.
