Is it possible to have stubs inc calculated automatically, ie like
stubs: inc 0
yet specify that the increment should not be less than 1, as the data consists only of natural numbers.

yes, in version 2.20 a new attribute called 'stubmininc' was introduced
for this exact purpose.
