      It was pointed out recently that there is a need for multi-line shell
      commands in proc getdata.

      This can be done, but is not easy to glean from the docs. The following
      example illustrates:

      #proc getdata
      data:
      #shell
      TODAY=`date '+%d%m%y' `
      who |
      sed "s/^/grendal $TODAY /"
      #endshell

      showresults: yes

      I will put something about this into the getdata docs.
