You are invited to By the Bottle and Old Ivy Tap Room for DRINK THIS! Celebrate artisan beverages that are made in the heart of Vancouver, and meet the makers, too. Throughout the downtown Vancouver area, various locations will be sampling beverages that are made on-site such as tea, coffee, and beer and wine. Since By the Bottle doesn't actually "make" any beverage, we are happy to be a part of this event by hosting Vancouver's premier homebrew shop, Bader Beer & Wine Supply. Owner, Steve Bader, will be on hand to introduce you to the world of making your own beer, wine, cider, and cheese! Come and join us in the patio where By the Bottle will be pouring $1 beer samples, cash only. Meanwhile at Old Ivy Tap Room, enjoy a $5 Pintzel, which includes a pint of a selected draft brew and their signature Fressen Pretzel served with beer cheese and stone ground mustard. |

More on DRINK THIS!
The central Vancouver Artisan beverage makers will be hosting their third Drink This!, a coordinated event between 20 businesses celebrating the many craft beverages made right here locally. What makes this event unique is that the actual makers will be present to give live demonstrations and answer questions about their craft. The event will include 5 wineries, 5 breweries, 4 coffee roasters, 2 soda pop makers and a kombucha maker. The stroll stretches from 6th Street to 22nd Street in the central Vancouver corridor. Businesses will be open extra hours offering unique and special tastings. Many will have special foods, and live music will be in some venues as well.
Participants can begin at any of the businesses where they can pick up a map to plan their evening and be sure to hit all of the locations. There is no overall charge to participate, but some businesses may charge for samples. It is up to each individual business.
Here's what some of our neighbors are doing:
Neighbors Market-hosting the ohQua teas from the magnificent tea blender, Jennifer Petersen, former owner of Cornelian Rose Tea Room, which once was located in the very same space Neighbors now occupies. (Main & McLoughlin)
Vancouver's own Loowit Brewing Company will have their ESB back on tap and Foody Blues BBQ will be on-site for your dining pleasure.
Mt. Tabor Brewing will have their Pale Torque Ale on draft and will host Absolutely Juicy who will be juicing in the brewery and sampling.
Mint Tea will host Klickitat Canyon/Columbia Gorge Winery serving their organic, sulfite free wines to include tapas plates from their kitchen paired to please. Hope you can make it.
Brickhouse Bar & Grill is hosting Vancouver's Heathen Brewing where a special release of their Bourbon Barrel RIP Porter will be pouring.
Brewed is welcoming Ghost Runner Brewery from Vancouver to share samples of their delicious beers for $1 upstairs. Suggested pairing, the tuna sandwich on Dave's Killer Bread. (Main & 1st?, across the street from Top Shelf)
