My Review of the Con
- I am sorry that I have posted this so late but been really busy with
Overall, I really enjoyed myself at the con. I always have a good
time meeting the artist, writers, and seeing familar faces. I
attended all three days and felt I got my moneys worth. The
activites were fun. Karoke was great. I missed having the horse races
for the casino nights, and the prizes were a little better than in
the past. I think it would be great to have a fun event on Saturday
night for those who do not have the funds to participate in the
The CBLDF quick sketch is always a hoot. The artist seem really relax
and enjoy sketching the far-out suggestions of the fans. As much as
we try to keep it PG-13. I think we enjoy making the suggestions and
giving up the money more than actually winning.
The match game was great. That was really fun and wish we had more
time to play more matches. The trivia ran a little long. I prefer
doing the old version because everyone who got up won something and
you did more than just answer questions. It was more fun and the
enjoyment of comic trivia.
The costume contest was good. I think that more catagories would help
the participation and speed it up. I think that Mr. Crawford so be a
judge instead of a host with his background in costume design. He
does a good job, but I think someone with more of a hosting lean
would keep it flowing faster.
Finally, spacing and guest. I think that the space is good and we
could expand. I guess it is really depends what you are looking to
get out of the con. I like the artist and guest, so to see more of
them would be a plus. But I know that a lot of people look to buy
hard to find comics or fill in gaps, so they would like to see more
dealers. I miss the more adult related room with the models and more
risque comics but that is just me.
Overall I give it a B+. I will attend next year and have a great
time. I will also try to post some of the pictures I took.
