Well, here is the scoop on the app. I studied the whole thing, spoke to a few different vendors about their offerings, and sat through a number of presentations. It came down to this, the overall experience would be different depending on the type of device you had and the app could not replace the printed program guides since so many folks use the guide to get autographs. Renee and others felt it made more sense to use tools like Twitter, Facebook, and email to inform our attendees of upcoming announcements and things during the event, rather than having a special app, and I agreed. The idea for the app has not gone away, it is just something that we may grow into using. Having said that, Patrick and I monitor the Yahoo group and, as he is busy this time of year, I try to keep him and Renee informed of any discussions on the group.

The old account had kind of drifted into the great unknown that is cyberspace and it left without a way to recall it, so a new account is born! Follow us to receive updates and announcements. We will also be tweeting during the show to provide updates, guest and programming announcements, last-minute cancellations, and more! The adventure continues.....on twitter!
