      SM MEGAMALL Megatrade Hall B
      December 13-14, 2003
      Cosplay Rules Version 1.0

      General Cosplay Rules

      1) Cosplayers from all genres are allowed to participate, but
      absolutely no original characters.

      2) Approach the registration booth only if you are in full costume.
      No exemptions will be made.

      3) Fill-out the registration form in triplicate, using black/blue
ink, and in clear and legible handwriting. Failure to comply will
      mean disqualification from the competition.

      4) Supply four (4) copies of a full-body, full-color
photo/illustration depicting the character you are cosplaying. These
are important documents needed for fair and proper judging by the
panel. Failure to comply will mean disqualification from the
      competition.

      5) Once you receive it, do not lose your number; this number is very
important for processing your entry, as well as ensuring your place
during the onstage ramp. Losing your number will mean
      disqualification from the competition.

      6) Report to the holding area at the designated time. Failure to
comply will mean disqualification from the competition.

      7) Once your are inside the holding area, you are not allowed to
leave, except under very special circumstances (under the discretion
of the area handler). Failure to comply will mean disqualification
      from the competition.

      8) Only one assistant per cosplayer is allowed inside the holding
area. assistants are not allowed to stay more than fifteen minutes.
Failure for either the assistant or the cosplayer to comply will mean
the contestant's disqualification from the competition.

      9) If the cosplayer's number has been called for pre-judging and
he/she is not present, a five minute grace period is given. if he/she
is still not present, that cosplayer is henceforth disqualified, and
the next contestant will be judged.

      10) Any actions committed by a cosplayer that will result in injury,
damages, or inconveniences to any party will mean the automatic
      disqualification of the said cosplayer.

Special Rules for Cosplay Contestants in Groups

      1) All general cosplay rules (see above) strictly apply.

      2) Going up the ramp as a group is allowed, but contestants will be
      judged individually.

      3) The group can only register if all the members of their group are
      present and in full-costume.

      4) Only members of the group given successive numbers will be allowed
to ramp together. any member with a number not in sequence will not
be allowed to ramp with the group. Failure to comply will mean
      disqualification from the competition.

      Special Rules for Ramp Presentation

      1) If the cosplayer's number has been called for the ramp
presentation and he/she is not present in the holding area/backstage,
that cosplayer forfeits ramp privileges, and the next contestant will
      be presented.

      2) No pointed objects, sharp objects, or other objects that can be
used as real weapons are allowed. C3 will not be held liable for any
injuries or damages resulting from the use of these props. Failure to
comply will mean disqualification from the competition.

      3) Absolutely no liquid props. C3 will not be held liable for any
injuries or damages resulting from the use of these props. Failure to
comply will mean disqualification from the competition.

      4) Any untoward incidents involving fire props are the sole
responsibility of the cosplayer. C3 will not be held liable for any
injuries or damages resulting from the use of these props. Failure to
comply will mean disqualification from the competition.

All cosplayers can approach any volunteer during the event for
      additional information and assistance.

The list of rules may be updated at any time. Please consult with
your local anime mailing lists and groups for new developments.
Details are also available in the next issue of CULTURE CRASH COMICS.

      Thank you very much.
