      Hi Tammy,
Just recently I was made moderator to help with this problem, and will do the best I can to get rid of these offensive emails.

I would rather have slower response time and know I was only getting messages from someone who loves pine needle basketry and wasn't a hacker or someone who was trying to give me a virus.  Like I said in my other message, I have left a couple of groups, but I am involved with a couple of others that do screen and I have never had a problem.

When I got into this e-mail account this morning I found that I have not one but TWO different messages from the same addy dated 2-17-09. I haven't opened them.  Why don't you or who ever is in charge contact them about not sending SPAM messages to the group or remove them yourself!  Something needs to be done before you lose members who truly are pine needle lovers!!  If it holds true to the groups I left in the past, soon there will be porn messages coming across my screen and when they do-I am gone!!  Eastern religion temples and pictures of false gods made from gold are more than enough.

I am probably "opening up a can of worms", but that is the way I feel!

Let me remind you, that you should not respond to any inappropriate
messages that appear in this group or any other. This includes
clicking on links that have nothing to do with baskets. Clicking on
those links is the easiest way to get a virus in your computer. It
also gives your email address to the host of the linked site, shows
interest in their wares and may cause more SPAM and pop ups to show up
in your inbox, as well as giving them down load access to your
computer. This is in addition to taking you to sites that may offend

I will continue to remove them and their senders as I find them. Any
type of screening of either members or messages would increase
      response time which is frustrating.

Another option is to change your membership in the group to receive no
emails and check in at the group site to see what is going on. This
will give me a chance to remove extra messages before they offend you.

Hope you keep making baskets and sending pictures.

Your message has been successfully submitted and would be delivered to recipients shortly.
