Exciting features of Freeform framework 1.2.0.Alpha
- The next major feature enhancement release of the hot Freeform
framework has been released today. Version 1.2.0.Alpha supports
internationalization and caching - in a very simple and clear way.
Using this version you can build really portable i18n-enabled web
applications that do not depend on different PHP setups; you can
create your own locale data files and decide which locales to support.
All namings are standartized, so you won't have to guess the correct
locale name on your next server. It also offers a powerful yet simple
caching API - from now you can easily control the browser-side as well
as server-side caching.
The html package has been updated to support localized messages in the
templates; it now also can cache the parsed templates that reduces
responce times greatly. The caching is really automatic; you just have
to enable it in the configuration and enjoy a drastic performance
increase (sometimes measured by a factor of 100).
The demo suite was extended to contain three new demos that present
these new important features.
With this release we are in the position to state that Freeform has
the best templating engine among PHP5 application frameworks -
comparing both the power and speed to other systems around.
Please download the new release and test it to help us further improve
it. We have a test installation of this release at http://dev6.php5
nedlinux.com/new/index.php - here you will can play with the demos and
read Freddy documentation of the installed packages.
