      Dear Xperts,

Need your help again, I have 2 Db (IN BANGLA) one made in UNICODE (latin1_general_ci) AND other in UTF-8 (utf8_unicode_ci).

Now, when I go to search something I can find the result in the UTF-8(utf8_unicode_ci) DB but Search FAILS in the OLD UNICODE (latin1_general_ci) DB.

The ENCODING is different i can see (OLD=বরিশাল) and (New=মুন্সিà¦â€"ঞ্à¦Å") , So now How can I convert the OLD UNICODE(latin1_general_ci) DB to new UTF-8(utf8_unicode_ci) DB.

      Please ...... need urgent help!

      Advance Thanks,
      MYNUL.

the worst solution is to get data from old db and then insert it into new db using any script eg. python. use utf8 encoding in connection string. according to your old db data it is already unicode data, so you have to read it as a utf8 and then store it as a utf8.
