We have developed an environmental living site in the Sth West of
Australia on what was a bare 7 acre cow paddock with 2 shacks and
several old exotic cypresses.
Purchased in 2000, we moved 3 recycled buildings, the building focus
on watewr recycling and dry toilet systems which is very unususl for
this conservative farming area. - we have planted over 1000 local
indigenous trees that first year then many more in subsequent years,
.also fruuit trees etc.
The native birds have come back a bit and we see parrots swans herons
and wrens that just weren't here 5 years ago.
A lot of the labour has been in exchange for accomodation, as in WWOOF
and other arrangements.
Currently we have 2 of us living here and working to keep it, we need
help and caretakers, as we also run businesses to finance this whole
thing! Any POME (Prisoners Of Mother England, ha ha) are welcome to
come here and get an exchange arrangement - you need to be able to do
mulching weeding etc and love the plants,
Hoping to hear from you,
