vegetable lubricant oil
To avoid using mineral oil in the garden, i substitute vegetable oil
as lubricant. Works well at first, but after some (not too long) time
it gets hard and needs to be reoiled. I think i tried olive oil and
peanut oil. What type of oil is recomended for this use? Or could the
vegetable oil be processed in some way to make it beter fit (and still
be harmless to environment)?
- Using vegetable oil as lubricant in gardening.
Rapeseed (Koolzaadolie) oil cost only €1 per liter, in Flanders – Belgium and is perfect for chainsaw lubrication.
Makita sells a kind of this as very nature friendly for about €9 per liter.
These are my experiences.
