      Subject: [pfaf] Bidens as healer

Hi All -- I'm new here. I was reading Stephen Buhner's book on Antibiotic herbs, and he mentions Bidens pilosa as a remarkable healing agent. Upon doing further research, I found that there is another variety of Bidens which grows wild in my area: Bidens bipinnata. While Buhner mentions a couple of other Bidens varieties which are medicinal, he does not mention pinnata. Looking at the pfaf site, the pinnata variety is given a medicinal rating of "2," the same as pilosa. Can you elaborate on where that rating came from? I would love to think that the Bidens which grows native here is medicinal, but I need further information. Please help. THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO, pfaf!
