  • Does that laptop have a PCMCIA card slot? If so get a USB2 card for it. Bill > On Apr 17, 2015, at 9:04 AM, 'Guido Schotmans' guidoschotmans@^$1 [perseus_SDR] wrote: > > HP Envy 17 Notebook PC 17-j191nb

  • Try attaching a USB2 external hub to the USB3 port? Easy enough to try at least. This might also work to stop W8 from installing drivers automatically. Or something similar. Try Googling. http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2165451/dont-windows-windows-automatically-download-device-drivers-icons.html Bill From: perseus_SDR@^$1 [mailto:perseus_SDR@^$2] Sent: Friday, April 17, 2015 6...

  • Try a different USB port? That may also require you to load the driver again. Which might just be the trick. • Rich, if overload is a concern you want to buy an ELAD FDM-S2. The FM+ does tend to overload in high RF areas. The S2 will not however for 88-108MHz you do want to have a decent outdoor antenna or a basic FM amplifier just to give it enough signal. Otherwise it is close to the best FM DX receiver I have ever used. Bill From: perseus_SDR@^$1 [mailto:perseus_SDR@^$2] Sent: Tuesday...
