Perl Seminar NY will hold its December meeting, as always, on the 3rd
      Tuesday of the month.

      Tuesday, December 20, 2006
      6:15-8:15 pm
481 8 Ave (Ramada New Yorker Hotel building), btw West 34 & 35 Sts,
      Manhattan
Room 550 (remember, this is the new office on the 5th floor, not the
      old office on the 15th)

      Two interesting talks:

      1. David H Adler: "Perl in Europe 2005"
Our far-flung correspondent reports on not one but two European
conferences he attended this summer and fall: YAPC::EU::2005 in
Oporto, Portugal and the first ever EuroOSCON held in Amsterdam.
Expect slides of noted Perl experts and finer brands of European beer.
      Not to be missed.

      2. David A Golden: "Inside-Out Objects"
In this presentation, David Golden will discuss how 'inside-out'
objects compare to more traditional hash-based objects and how they
offer strong data encapsulation. He'll cover several variations in the
inside-out technique, plus pros, cons and pitfalls to avoid when using
inside-out objects. He'll also discuss a bug he found in Damian's
Class::Std, highlight other CPAN modules that automate the inside-out
technque and give a taste of his "journey to the dark side" with his
      'outside-in' CPAN module Object::LocalVars.

      Be there or B**2
