Make a file ??
- Hi there, ive never "make"ed a file before.. just installed / edited
it before now.
However ive d/loaded http://dlc.sourceforge.net/
and it seems a bit complex, (the config file).. so i thought i
better "make" a file the propper way...
Now - What do i do ?
do it in DOS (in the perl or /cgi-bin directory ? or the directory
ive got the file ?
the help file says something about "run (whatever)... so i'll assume
that is in the windows environment (run command)...
PS - Is this a good file/script to use ? - Re my dead-links ?
Im using Activeparl at work (Win 95) & Home (win 98)..
in the "Install" (Plain text file / help)
it says :-
To install Dead Link Check, just run the
"configure" script in the
directory. Run "configure --help" for installation
However this "configure" file isnt a COM, EXE, CGI or
PL file - its just another plain text file..
Thats why im a bit confused to "make" it..
No worries - I'm in no rush to have a 'dead-links'
file for work...
