      its an IDE specialised in dynamic languages with good support for Perl, Python, PHP, TCL, Ruby.

      on windows and osx its a bit sluggish... but on linux it really rocks!

      I never used one before and then I found out Eclipse had a Perl plugin. Now with the Perl plugin, database development / debugger and JBoss tools added to the native Java support in Eclipse I don't think I'll ever go back to a text editor for programming Perl again.
