    What does it do? And what are you trying to do? There are modules to handle the delimiters in paths that might be better suited to what you re trying to do.

      There are modules to handle the delimiters in paths that might be better
      suited to what you're trying to do. At any rate, I think there's the wrong
      number of "/" in the regex...

        print $a
        c:\dir1\dir2\foo.doc
        $a =~ s/\\/\//g

        print $a
        c:/dir1/dir2/foo.doc
