Group Description

Welcome to the group Perfumemaking! The most active group about perfumery on the Internet.

Perfumemaking is a group for perfumers; for professional and beginning perfumers. It's a fun, open minded and friendly place where you can talk to people who share the same passion for perfumery.

This is not a group about natural perfumery only, it's a group about perfumery in general, perfumery with ALL its facets. Whether you use
synthetics, naturals or both, you will always have a home here; both to
freely ask for information and to offer your knowledge and opinons.

You will find all kinds of formulas and information in the files section, and there are lessons in perfume making (also in Powerpoint presentation) for the members who want to learn perfumery. All your questions and input are welcome. And remember...don't be afraid to ask questions, there are no "stupid" questions.

Jenny started this group, and has moved on. She started making perfumes in 1999 and learned perfumery by reading books about perfumes and essential oils. She started to order a lot of essential oils and started to blend, it became an addiction, it was a way to expand my creativity. She read about the aroma components of essential oils and was fascinated by it, I wanted to find these chemicals. When she did find them, she started to learn the real facets of perfumery. She started this group because she couldn't find anyone in the Netherlands with the same hobby.

Have fun.
Your moderators Frank, Nova, Mark, Susan and Paul.
