His brother was said to be 'an upholsterer at Cornhill' (Le Neve's Pedigrees, 3), presumably the Philip Harman who was related by marriage to Samuel Pepys. John Harman entered parliament's naval service in 1646, commanding the hired merchantman Falcon. ...
