Re: [penturners] Glue
- Randy, the thing I like about the Locktite is that it has a nozzle that I can lay out two equal lines of resin and hardener on a plastic bag that the pen parts come in. I can then mix them and know the mixture is right without having to scrape out a container to make sure I have equal amounts.I will have to check out Harbor Freight for their epoxy.
- I use the Harbor Freight 5 minute epoxy all the time and found it works great.

Bill, I have not checked out the Harbor Freight epoxy yet but the Locktite epoxy I found at Menards does a greater job. I use the slow acting (one hour working time), and do a bunch of tubes at one time. I do this in the evening when I am through turning for the day and then I am all set to turn that batch the next day. The actual working time for the glue to set up enough to turn is about 4 hours. There is also a 5 minute set if you are in a hurry and only have to glue a few tubes.I am sure that H/F epoxy is just as good and most likely cheaper.
