      Hello, Paul.

Amazing. I thought this was the whole purpose of LTH, and I know a lot
of other people are using it. And nobody's noticed this before???

Thanks very much. I really appreciate it. I'm sure there must be other
applications that will have this same problem. So far, though,
DateBook is the only place I've seen it.

I'm Sorry to hear that Lee, it has worked flawlessly on my Visor since I
downloaded the fix back in January. The version I have is
"PointerHackBeta_20010122.zip". This is the newest version and supposedly
has the fix in it. I just hate it when I recommend a piece of software to

I appreciate the lead to this hack, of which I was unaware. Was
there an earlier message from Rob Olian? If so, it didn't arrive
                here.

I am having a little trouble with Pointerhack. The letter "s" is
supposed to tap at the pointer location; I found that instead, it
was bringing up the FindHack dialog! Thinking that it was FindHack's
problem (I downloaded the new version today), I deactivated it.
However, now an "s" would bring up the standard Find dialog.

I have a TRGPro with OS 3.51. Is anyone seeing this?

I just tried it again to be sure on my Visor w/OS 3.1 and the Stowaway and
it works fine. Did you do the "Tune" in the setup in Hackmaster (or Xmaster)
and what esc character are you using. I use the "=" as mine and have no
conflicts. Maybe it is a OS3.51 thing. I know that Palm introduced a few
incompatibilities when they came out with the new OS and I don't know what
version Pointerhack was tested on. It has been a while since any update for
Pointerhack has come out. Other than that I have no idea what could be
wrong. You might post it to the Pointerhack group and see if any one else
with a TRGPro has any problem.

I did find it on the egroups page. Strange that I didn't even receive
                          the message via email.

In any case, thanks to both of you for the information.

I set mine up to use "~", but it's a shifted character on my PPK. "="
sounds like it might be a better choice.

I had posted to the Pointerhack list and received a reply from the
author today, making the same suggestion--that I run the Tune utility.
I had misread the documentation and didn't realize how important that
step was. I did run it and it solved the problem! It still doesn't
make sense to me that it was bringing up the Find dialog, but the main
thing is that it's working now. Thanks again.

Yes, Paolo, I did find the message there. I was mostly concerned that
the email message hadn't been delivered. Just one of those glitches, I
                            guess.

Poorly worded--sorry. I was wondering if anyone else was seeing the
problem I was reporting--which is now solved. Thanks!
