        Thanks for the tip.

It inspired me to finally get my palm-synching up to scratch on my home
        linux box.

The conduit works wonderfully. Just sync as normal, and when you are in
the "memos" section of the jpilot desktop there is a check box to swap
over to memo32. Much like changing from pedit to pedit32 in peditpro.
Just great. No fiddling with conversions and works both ways seamlessly
(disclaimer: haven't thoroughly tested it yet, but it looks promising!)

There is a similar conduit for Manana (supposed to be a ~ over one of
those n's!, but I only speak ASCII-us), which is a sort of "todo-later"
application which I occasionally use. This works the same way in todo as
        memo32 does in memos.

Also on conduit for keyring, a password keeper. I have been using STRIP,
but am in the process of swapping over. Having a desktop conduit make s
a program that much more useful in my view. - in fact, I am going to
start using memo32 as default instead of memo4 from now on I think.

I am so impressed with the functionality of this program (and in
particular how well it handles memo32!) that I am in the process of
trying to get it running under cygwin on my WinXP box at work.

        Shayne
