      Hello all:

Can anyone tell me what this file (psysLaunchDB) is? It has gotten pretty
big on my Prism, ~120k, and I was wondering if there is anything I can do
      to shrink its size.

      Thanks-in-advance,
      Bruce.

If I recall it correctly, it's a database for the built in launcher. Keeps
category information etc. A hard reset ought to shrink its size, but that's
quite extreme... Not sure you want to remove it either. Might lead to
        strange (and/or bad) results...

        /Daniel

Correct. You can delete it. Will recreate [as I recall]. /Paul

I just deleted mine (80k). No ill effects either in Launcher III or
built-in launcher. Categories intact, etc. However, I checked again
and it was indeed back - but now 87.3k.

I deleted it again, visited Launcher III and psysLaunchDB returned at 14.1k.

Visiting the built-in launcher upped it to 87.3k again.

I think I'll leave it alone now :)

            John.

Turns out there *are* ill effects. I thought all was well, but when I
tried to launch MegaWiki, it would give a Fatal Exception. Turns out
it uses information in the psysLaunchDB which is *not* recreated by
Launcher III. A trip to the built-in launcher fixed the problem.

              John.
