    “Inspiring-empowering opening to the week.”

    This weekend, Dec. 7-8 | Saturday-Sunday 12-3 PM, only $35 each day.

Conduit Dance, 918 SW Yamhill, Suite 401, Portland, OR.
Exploring contact as a solo form, we’ll introduce a dazzling array of personal scores and skills to broaden your pallet of choices. Skills to find ease and efficiency with weight sharing and flight. Personal scores explore freedom to pursue your interests and curiosities throughout the dance while balancing connection to your partner.

    Co-Taught by...

Michal Lahav (Seattle, Washington USA) began her love affair with contact improv in 1998. Since then she has explored it across the globe, in national parks, her livingroom, and perhaps yours too. She has taught numerous workshops at dance institutes and festivals around the pacific northwest, including Seattle University, Lewis and Clark College, and SANCA Circus Arts school. She also organizes the annual Orcas Island Jam. Michal integrates studies of yoga and dance with a curiosity for movement, human behavior and a great lust for everyday life.

Eric Nordstrom (Portland, Oregon USA) is a dedicated dance performer, filmmaker and teacher. Improvisational collaborations include a full evening performance in Seattle with renowned movement artist Karen Nelson. As a director and editor, his films feature such prominent dancers and scholars as Ann Cooper Albright. Eric teaches contact improvisation at colleges and universities including the Ohio State University, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts. Currently, Eric is a guest artist at Lewis and Clark College, instructing Contemporary Dance Forms and Dance on Film workshops.
