Would it be possible to have the spell list actually calculate things
like level-dependant spell durations or areas of effect and the like,
so that the output sheet of a 6th level wizard shows the duration of
      e.g. "Haste" as "6 rounds" instead of "1 round/level"?

As an example of how i magine this might work: I actually did this
once in a AD&D program i wrote by using embedded UPN caculation
formulas within brackets in the output string, that was then put
through a parser before output. It would have formulas like e.g. "[#]
      rounds" (1 round/level) or "[# 2 *] rounds" (2 rounds/level) or "[100
      10 # * +] ft." (100 feet plus 10 feet/level).
