I checked out the source tree, but when I do the build, and run
pcgendev.sh, none of the source materials appear available. Did I
forget to check something out from the tree? Is there some "non-cvs"
files I need to download and put somewhere so pcgen can find them?

Hi Derek, Try the command ant fetch-data . It will grab the data from the PCGenDM project on sourceforge. Cheers, ... James Dempsey JDempsey@acslink.net.au

            Odd, I get:

            $ ant fetch-data
            Buildfile: build.xml

            fetch-data:
            [delete] Deleting directory C:\cygwin\home\James\pcgen\data
            [cvs] cvs export: Updating data
... then lots of updating messages.

Perhaps your cvs setup is different.

The other option is just to extract the part2.zip file into your dev pcgen
directory. If you need the latest files have a look at the alpha site listed
            below.

            Cheers,

It's "whatever CVS is installed with the Mac OS X Developers' Tools"
              which is, IIRC, fairly current.

Hmmm, I tried doing a regular checkout of the pcgendm repository (which
I can do fine "by itself", just not through the ant target), and then
just symlink'ing the appropriate directory in the one tree to the other
spot, and that SEEMS to work, but yields other errors:

Could not find campaign by filename:
              /Users/dredd/src/pcgen/data/wizardsofthecoast/sourcebooks/dnd/core/phb/
              phb.pcc
              [etc]

even though the files DO exist. :-/
