You are confusing bonus spells with ability modifier. Look at table 1-1
in PHB. Bonus spells for ability score of 20 (in this case charisma)
      would be 0: 0, 1st: 2, 2nd - 5th: 1 each.

So your 14th level Sorcerer should have the follow spells per day: 6, 8,
      7, 7, 7, 7, 5, 3.

      Subject: [pcgen] Casting Sorcerer Spells

I'm new at this PCGen thing having started using it only today. So
spared if this question is simple.

      I am creating a 14th level sorcerer with a Charisma of 20 (+5). Why
are the spells that my sorcerer cast limited to 8 per level. At this
level and with this Charisma, the total number of spells this PC
should be able to do is 11 for all spells level 0 to 5, 10 of level
6, and 8 at level 7. I don't recall seeing a limit to the number of
spells a character could be casting.

Is there some rule I am overlooking? Is this a limitation of PCGen?
